The magnetically driven centrifuge has a centrifuge body (2) which bears sample tubes (10) extending radially outwards from the latter and holds a magnetic body. The centrifuge body is arranged on a base (18) with a rotating magnet so that the centrifuge body (2) rotates freely on the base (18) on the basis of the magnetic interaction between the rotating magnet and the magnetic body. <IMAGE>
