For a ceramic heat exchanger device for heating heating water (17) and service water (6), which consists of a heating water heat exchanger unit (1) flowed through by the hot gas (5) of a burner operated with gaseous or liquid fuels and of a further service water heat exchanger unit (2), there is provided in each case a further heat exchanger unit (3) flowed through by the hot gas (5) and, respectively, a further heat exchanger unit (4) flowed through by the service water (6), which are both connected to a water circuit pipe (7) which is provided with a circulating pump (8). This additional water circuit pipe (7) utilises the residual heat of the hot gas (5) and preheats the service water (6) which is subsequently further heated by the heating water (17). In the rectilinear flow ducts (16) flowed through by the service water (6), any scale deposits can easily be removed. <IMAGE>
