When mining with pneumatic stowing, the pneumatic pipe line in the known face support assemblies is dismantled via window-like openings in the stowing walls of folding design. But the folding facility of the stowing wall prevents use in thin seams, because the miners can then no longer reach the coupling points via the openings. To protect the face cavity, other measures in the form, for example, of independently movable pneumatic walls then have to be taken. One wall section (10, 11) each is now allocated by the invention to the flap (5) and the curve (4) of the support assembly, which wall sections (10, 11) are vertically movable towards one another. In addition, each wall section (10, 11) is telescopic in the longitudinal direction of the face. By moving the telescopic parts (14, 15), assembly masses (36) can be created in this way, via which the coupling points (37) of the pneumatic pipe line (32) become accessible without difficulty. <IMAGE>
