PURPOSE:To prevent a double feed and paper jam, in a paper sheet take-off device in which a paper sheet directional one end is supported to a supply part by a base plate, by constituting the device such that a paper sheet guide is vertically provided on the base plate and its point end is curved to be arranged along a friction feed roller and thin friction member contact part. CONSTITUTION:A paper sheet P in a supply part 11 is pressed by a back up plate 14, and the first sheet in the frontmost is moved in a side direction B by a take-off belt 16. The second sheet and after are moved by friction between sheets, however, stopped by a low friction member 27, and taking of two sheets is prevented, while a low friction coefficient of the member 27 prevents folding of a point end. Even if the sheets are moved passing the low friction member 27 in a double feed condition, the second sheet of paper is applied with a brake by a friction element 26 and belt 19, and separated from the first sheet of paper. The first sheet of paper, separated in this manner, is held between a friction feed roller 17 and endless friction belt 19, and fed out. In this way, a double feed and paper jam are surely prevented, and reliability can be improved. |
