PURPOSE:To manufacture a cylindrical steel plate cell very easily, by winding an almost rectangular metallic plate around a rotating body while rotating a said body and joining the tip of the metallic plat and its rear end. CONSTITUTION:A metallic plate 5 is placed on a base 2, and a reinforcing rib 7 installed to the tip part of the metallic plate 5 is held by a fixing device 6. Subsequently, when turning rollers 10, 10 are rotated, a rotating body 1 rotates together with the turning rollers 10, 10, and the metallic plate 5 is wound around the rotating body 1. When the metallic plate 5 has been wound around the rotating body 1 by about one round, the rotating motion of the rotating body 1 is stopped, and the rear end part of the metallic plate 5 or the reinforcing rib 7 installed to the rear end part is held by the fixing device 6. In this case, the tip part and the rear end part of the metallic plate 5 are corrected as to unevenness and are butted, and are joined by means of welding, etc., by which a cylindrical steel plate cell is manufactured. |
