PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of damage due to temperature and to improve transmission of vibration, by installing a knocking sensor at the inside of a water jacket of an engine cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A knocking sensor 10 is inserted into a water jacket 11 at an outer periphery of a cylinder. The installation of the sensor at the inside of the water jacket prevents the occurrence of damage due to the temperature of the knocking sensor and improves transmission of vibration of an engine, which results in enabling to perform an excellent and reliable detection of knocking. |
