The invention relates to an electrical apparatus for mounting in a corrosive and dirty environment. According to the invention, all the parts belonging to the apparatus are integrated in a common structure. This includes the apparatus housing with a lamp base (6) and a discharge lamp (7), the mast mounting parts, such as a bracket (11), bracket holders (12, 13) and supporting stops (14, 15), and the electrical components, such as an inductor coil (8), ignition device (9) and phase-balancing capacitors. The apparatus is characterised according to the invention in that the interior of the housing is split into at least two spaces (1, 2, 3), which are separated from one another and of which the space which is intended for holding the electrical components (1, 2) is designed to be waterproof, and the other space (3) can hold the end of the mast. <IMAGE> |
