PURPOSE:To increase the flexibility when loading a disc, by automatically detecting front and back sides of a floppy disc, and accessing the disc independently of its side to be loaded. CONSTITUTION:An index lamp B24 and an index sensor B22 are provided at a position of an index hole (index hole B26) in loading a floppy disc 27 with its back side (side 1) and an index pulse B18 is generated.Which pulse out of two index pulses is generated is discriminated at a side-detector 12, the pulse is read out with a side discriminating signal and outputted to a write circuit 13. |
