PURPOSE:To promote evaporation by providing a fuel jet whose pressure difference between its front and rear is correlative to the amount of suction air and supplying the fuel measured by changing its effective sectional area by means of a suction-amount detecting device into a primary side suction air passage. CONSTITUTION:A suction negative pressure in the downstream of a plate valve 29 is introduced into a suction flow detection diaphragm device 30, and balanced with a forcing torque of a spring of the like to open a valve 29. Simultaneously, a meter-link needle 8 is shifted to change the effective sectional area of a fuel jet 9, and fuel is measured and supplied to a primary side suction passage 1 from a nozzle 15 via a fuel passage 12. Meanwhile, since the diameter of a passage 33 is sufficiently greater than that of the nozzle 15, an atmospheric pressure is always given in the passage 33 to be equalized with the pressure in a float chamber 10. Consequently, fuel is issued from the fuel jet 9 only by the head. Besides, the diameter of the primary side suction passage 1 throttled to be sufficiently small permits to promote evaporation and improve the cost of fuel. |
