PURPOSE:To eliminate the phenomenon in which image density decreases in low moisture environment by treating CdS with polyethylene glycol and dispersing the same in a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:CdS powder is immersed under agitation into a hydrophilic polar soln. of polyethylene glycol in alcohol, tetrahydrofuran, etc., thereafter the soln. is filtered and dried, whereby the CdS powder treated with polyethylene glycol is prepd. This treated CdS and a binder resin (diallyl phthalate resin, etc.) are mixed and the soln. is coated on a conductive substrate (made of Al, etc.) and is dried, whereby a photoconductive layer is formed. Thus high density image which is stable equally to those in ordinary environment is obtained in low moisture environment as well. |
