PURPOSE:To reduce facility investment, shorten read time and simplify maintenance by composing a general-use typewriter system of unexpensive I/O devices and adaptors controlling these I/O devices and connecting them to an electronic device. CONSTITUTION:When a functional operation test starting signal is outputted from an electronic device 1, a part corresponding to selecting information out of a program stored in a memory 8 is read out by operation mode selecting information to check interface circuits 12, 13 at the normal time. At the time of an input, commands and data are received in accordance with respective interface procedures, data are printed out on a printer 5 or punched out by a paper tape puncher 3 on the basis of the commands and the data read out from a paper tape reader 2 or the keyboard of a character display 4 are outputted to the electronic device 1 to execute the operation carried out by a conventional typewriter. |
