<p>The hopper (3) has a fuel supply entry (7) at the top (3a). It is suspended above the hearth (2) and held at the base (3b) by curved support bars (10b,10c). The fuel (4) can be logs and a rectangular constriction (5) at the hopper base is slightly longer than the logs giving a designed rate of log fall under gravity. The hopper has three flat vertical sides (6a-c) and one curved side (6d), so that the fuel supply entry at the hopper top is larger than the constriction at the bottom.</p> |
