The belt, which is intended to move between at least two driving pulleys, is comprised of an endless band having a core (1) coated with a sufficiently resistant and flexible material, which band comprises relief elements (3) which are integral with the band by molding said relief elements simultaneoulsy with the coating of the core (1), and the belt is provided with plane friction plates (4), which have a trapezoidal shape and are built in on the band, between two successive relief elements (3), which plates (4) are intended to transmit the motion by bearing and friction of their non-parallel faces in the sheave of a trapezoidal cross-section pulley.
