Multi spindle screw driver - uses individual spindle motors with flow regulator and one way valve in pressure feed motor to commutating valve

The hydraulic actuator uses spindles with individual motors to drive screws for the mfr. of vehicles. The motors are connected both in series and parallel with a commutating valve and directionally controlled distributor. A flow regulator, together with a directionally controlled valve is installed in the feed from a high pressure motor orifice to the commutating valve, the pressure line incorporating connections to the distributors. The inlet and outlet orifice of the distributors are fitted with pressure-limiting valves,the distributors being open when the relevant motor is in service and vice versa. Pressure at motor terminals may be limited by mounting a directionally controlled valve in parallel with a bypass valve.
