The invention relates to the arrangement and design of a seal (4) with a frame (5), carrying said seal, for a movably arranged, in particular lowerable, windowpane (3) in a vehicle wall. In order to be able to permit the seal (4) to act simultaneously as a window guide, the invention proposes to design it, in accordance with Figure 2, as a U-profile (9) having lips (14, 15) which extend inwards from the leg ends (11, 12) and rest on the windowpane (3) in a flexible and sealing manner. In this arrangement, the U-profile (9) is supported on the frame (5) by means of its rear profile base (10). <IMAGE>
