PURPOSE:To improve operability, by providing a plurality of gears which move the compression of a fixing gear and an adjusting gear to the releasing direction back and forth in order to adjust the phase between paper receiving and delivering cylinders in the rotary sheet-fed press, wherein the reversing mechanism for printing both sides of paper is provided. CONSTITUTION:When the rotary sheet-fed press is switched to double surface printing, locking of a fixed gear 12 by a fixing mechanism which is not shown and an adjusting gear 14 is released. Then a hexagon head 16b of a pinion gear 16 is rotated, four gears 22, which are engaged with the gear 16, are simultaneously rotated and pulled out of the thread part of the pins 20, and the pins 20 become freely movable slightly in the axial direction. Therefore the compression of the fixed gear 12 and the adjusting gear 14 is released. When the adjusting gear 14 is rotated, the phase between the fixed gear 12, which is fixed to the shaft end 11 of the reversing cylinder 2, and the adjusting gear 14 is adjusted. In this adjustment, since the position of the paper end is different depending on the size of the paper 5, the position is adjusted by aligning a pointer with a scale. Therefore, the paper 5, whose surface 5a is printed by a rubber cylinder 4 and an impression cylinder 1, is reversed by the reversing cylinder 2, and the back surface is printed by an impression cylinder 3 and the rubber cylinder 6. |
