PURPOSE:To raise the efficiency of mechanical chipping operation for the wall of a trench by attaching a breaker to the tip of the arm of a power shovel in such a way as to enable all the inner wall of the trench to be chipped mechanically. CONSTITUTION:A chipping machine is provided with a breaker 17 provided through a parallel link mechanism 13 to a fitting part 9 attached to the tip of the arm 6 of a power shovel 3 the parallel link mechanism 13 having a pressing means 18 to press on the breaker 17 all the time when chipping the inner wall 2 of a trench, a turning means 12 to turn the breaker 17 through the parallel link mechanism 13, and reaction-receiving means 22a and 22b to receive the reaction of the breaker 17 when chipping the side of the inner wall 2 of the trench. Thus, chipping work for the wall of the trench can be efficiently performed. |
