PURPOSE:To allow a screen composition system which display plural screens on one television screen in split areas to perform accurate color generation while preventing a color phase shift, by obtaining successive scanning line numbers and picture element addresses according the order of the screens in reading oeration. CONSTITUTION:In a screen composition system which displays plural color television screens on one color television screen in split areas, odd and even fiels of each screen are selected. And a rising and falling point at the prescribed position of a burst signal at specified distance from its vertical synchronizing pulse is regarded as a starting point to write signals to field memories 5-1-5-N assigned to respective screens by a clock whose frequency is an integral multiple of a color subcarrier signal frequency. In reading operation, signals are read out of the fields memories 5-1-5-N according to the order of positions of respective screens to be combined so that scanning line numbers and picture element address of each scanning line succeed, thereby constituting one screen. |
