PURPOSE:To rationally attain star loop composite wiring by providing small slots, where optical fiber cores should be stored, between large slots which are provided on the outside peripheral part of a spacer and where optical fiber units should be stored. CONSTITUTION:Four large slots 5 are spirally formed in the peripheral direction on the outside peripheral part of a spacer 2, and small slots 6 are spirally formed between large slots 5. Cut optical fiber units 7 and optical fiber cores 8 are drawn out from large slots 5 and small slots 6 and are branched in a branch position, and branched optical fiber units 7 are wired into a star, and optical fiber cores 8 are wired into a loop. Since small slots 6 are formed in the space of large slots more shallowly than large slots 5 in this optical fiber cable 1, the cable strength is held without increasing the outside diameter of the spacer 2, namely, the optical fiber cable 1. |
