PURPOSE:To obtain normal pictures by providing a retaining part for preventing the bouncing of a cam follower in a recess for a cam for connecting an idler gear to a gear on an input shaft thereby permitting stable changing of speed ratios. CONSTITUTION:When a copying magnification is changed, a shaft 54 revolves by the angle corresponding to the selected magnification, and an idler gear 90 corresponding to the selected magnification is meshed with a gear 60 corresponding to the selected magnification on an input shaft 41. The other idler gears 90 are held in the state spaced from respectively corresponding gears on the shaft 41. A follower retainer 70 is provided integrally with a cam 69 in the recess of the cam 69 into which the cam follower 81 of a lever 80 drops and therefore even if force is exerted upon the idler gear 90 in the direction disengaging from the gear 60, the bouncing out of the follower 81 from the recess is prevented by the retainer 70. In other words, the clockwise turn of the lever 80 is prevented and revolutions are transmitted from the shaft 41 to an output shaft 22 via the idler gear 90. |
