PURPOSE:To suppress leakage of lubricating oil by allowing oil throwing fins to perform mutually a pumping action to suck in dry air. CONSTITUTION:Close to the bearing 5 of a rotor 1, two or more oil throwing ring-shaped fins 9, 10 are furnished, mating with the peripheral surfaces of the rotor 1 from the bearing casing 3. Between these fins 9, 10, two ring-shaped bosses 7 protruding at the peripheral surfaces of the rotor 1 are arranged, and a dry air spply pipe 14 in communication with the space 13 between said bosses 7 is arranged at the bearing casing 3. Each boss 7 is provided with a number of grooves 8 running aslant with respect to the direction across the axial direction. According to this configuration, the two bosses 7 perform a pumping action, following the revolving rotor 1, whereby mixing of steam with the lubricating oil is prevented with satisfactory effect. |
