A toy pistol for projecting a rubber band 10 comprises a main body member 12 positioned between outer body members, all of the members being of substantially the same shape and representing a pistol, there being provided means 9 for retaining the band formed at the front of the main body member and a second band-retaining means 16 rotatably mounted in a cut-out portion 13 on the main body member, the second retaining means being integral with parts simulating a trigger 6 and a percussion hammer 17. Both the retaining means may be shaped to serve as sights. On operating the trigger, the protuberance 16 rises and moves forward causing the band to be projected. |
