PURPOSE:To easily perform machining of high accuracy by realizing highly accurate adjustment of a position of a cutting tool in its condition of being set on a machine tool. CONSTITUTION:After fixing a milling cutter main body 1 on a main shaft through a fitting hole 2 and auxiliary holes 3, condition of a fitting position of each cutting edge 15 is confirmed by means of a block gauge and the like. The height of the cutting edge 15 is adjusted through operating a vertical adjustment mechanism 24 by means of a hexagon wrench an putting a locator 6 in a vertical motion. A slant is adjusted through operating a slant adjustment mechanism 38 by means of the hexagon wrench. Since the cutting edge 15 may be thus adjusted with excellent accuracy, deflection of the cutting edge is not induced. |
