PURPOSE:To simplify the movement of a cursor, by providing a means, which designates a character string, where the cursor is placed, to a processing object, and a means which moves the cursor to the start of a character string following the designated character string. CONSTITUTION:A cursor is moved to an optional position of, for example, the second sentence. Next, a controller 14 performs control to specify an object character string by a character string designating key. Contents of a cursor register 3 are decreased until the output of a discriminator 13 becomes 1. The cursor is moved to the start of the sentence, and this position is written in the first position register 11. It indicates the start. A corresponding position start mark is written in an RAM14. Contents of the register 3 are increased, and the end position is written in the second register 12. Similarly, the end of the next character string is processed. Then, an editing key is depressed to transfer the second and third sentences to a buffer 10 as the movement object. |
