Filtering, cleaning and grading apparatus The invention relates to apparatus suitable for filtering or washing of lumpy materials, having a rotatable hollow body which is covered at least in part with a filter or sieve. The hollow body has two sections, the first section having a horizontally or near horizontally arranged truncated pyramid or cone-frustrum type drum rotatable around the horizontal or near-horizontal longitudinal geometrical symmetry axis. Its side is formed, at least in part, by a sieve or filter. A feeder pipe leads through a smaller end-plate of the drum into the interior, while a larger end-plate has an opening eccentrically arranged in relation to the symmetry axis. The second section of the hollow body in co-rotation with the first section joins this opening, and has at least three prismatic members connected with each other. Their sides, at least in part, are formed by a filter or sieve. The geometrical longitudinal axes of the members together form a zig-zag or similar line, intersecting the symmetry axis of the drum, which is the common axis of rotation of the two sections of the hollow body, outside the drum. |
