PURPOSE:To increase the heat capacity of the joint part of a helix-type traveling-wave tube, and enable the heat radiation to be efficiently carried out by filling a high-melting-point metal into the joint part between a helix and a coaxial output-connecting part. CONSTITUTION:The distance between a helix 2 and an inner conductor 5 is made as small as, for example, around 0.5mm.. After that, a high-melting-point metal is poured into the space formed between the helix 2 and the conductor 5 by use of a laser welder or the like so as to form a joint part 1. As a result, heat generation at the joint part 1 is suppressed, and heat can be efficiently transmitted to the helix 2 and the conductor 5. Therefore, the safety of the operation of the tubular bulb can be enhanced even when the frequency and the output of a helix-type traveling-wave tube is increased. |
