PURPOSE:To decrease the generation of discontinuity in amplitude and phase, in rotating the phase shifter in high speed, by separating diodes of a balanced modulator constituting an infinite phase shifter from the standpoint of DC and applying an independent voltage to the two diodes. CONSTITUTION:An input signal from a termimal 1 is branched into two at an in-phase branching circuit 6, and the branched signals are inputted to balanced modulators 14, 14' respectively. The modulators 14, 14' have two sets of terminal pairs 13a, 13b and 13a', 13b', and a direct current is blocked with capacitors 22a, 22b and 23, and applied voltages Ea, Eb and Ea', Eb' are respectively applied to diodes 21a, 21b separately. Output of the modulators 14, 14' are synthesized at a 90 deg. synthesis circuit 5 in orthogonal phase relation and outputted from a terminal 2. The voltages Ea, Eb can have completely independent waveforms so as to be constituted with sum of control voltages without sudden change, and the vector sum of the outputs of the diodes 21a, 21b is constituted as a desired waveform, allowing to reduce the generation of discontinuous amplitude and phase, even in high speed revolution.
