PURPOSE:To stably obtain a high photographic density by adjusting the silver chloride in silver halide particles incorporated into a photosensitive material to a specific concn. or above, using a specific compd. in a liquid color developer and further adjusting the concn. of sulfurous acid ions to a specific concn. region. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide particles contg. at least 70mol% silver chloride are used for the halide particles to be incorporated into the photosensitive material for a processing method in which the liquid color developer contg. a p-phenylene diamine color developing agent is used for development. The compd. expressed by general formula I is used in place of a hydroxyaminate is used for the liquid color developer. In formula, R denotes an alkyl group of 1-3C which may have a substituent. The concn. of the sulfite in said liquid color developer is adjusted in a 5X10<-4>-2X10<-2>mol range per 1l of the liquid developer. The substantially high photographic density is thereby stably obtd. and the preservable property of the processing soln. is improved.
