PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of conventional visual range adjustment pipe and as well as improve the degree of freedom of mounting location by a structure wherein a lens collimator directive to arbitary circumferential direction within 360 deg. is employed in the flame detector to detect the existence of the flame in a burner. CONSTITUTION:The flame detector installd on a furnace wall 5 consists of an optical fiber 18 piercingly fitted in the central hole of a cylindrical holder 10 and a spherical bearing 13, the pivoting center of which locates at one point O in the axis line of said central hole and which is attached at one end of said optical fiber 18. One end of the bodytube 12a, at the other end of which a lens 11 having said point O of pivoting center as its focus is provided, of the lens collimator 12 is supported by said bearing 13. Furthermore, at two adjoining positions out of four positions equi-spacedly located in a circle around the central hole of the holder 10, a pair of pushing rods 14a and 14b energized leftward by springs 15 are provided and at the remaining two positions, a pair of controlling rods 17a and 17b are also provided in order to be able to freely adjust the direction of the lens collimator 12. |
