PURPOSE:The titled composition that is prepared by kneading vehicle components of a specific modified resin and another rosin-modified phenolic resin with a pigment, thus showing excellent set, coating film strength and luster. CONSTITUTION:(A) A reaction product between (i) a cyclopentadiene resin and (ii) a higher fatty acid ester with conjugated double bonds or between i, ii and an alpha,beta-unsaturated dicarboxylic anhydride is made to react with (B) an unsaturated monocarboxylic ester to give a modified resin. Then, 100pts.wt. of the resultant modified resin is mixed with (C) 1-100pts.wt. of a novolak type phenolic resin to give the vehicle ingredient, which is kneaded with ink pigment and other additives to give the objective composition. |
