Meltable interlinings are produced by attaching a base material and a stretched film of a heat-softening resin (pref. basically oriented polyethylene film 20-30N thick and with a M.P. of 110-125 degrees C) at a number of places away from each other and heating the film sufficiently to shrink or melt it, so that non-attached areas are torn. The film softens at 80-200 degrees C and has a shrink ratio of >=50% and a weight of 5-50 g/m2.
|
