<p>The heat pump indicates an evaporator (1), compressor (4), a condenser (5) and expansion valve (6). In addition there is a safety bottle (2) for the evaporated liquid and a heat exchanger (3) for cooling the compressor. An electronic differential amplifier is linked to two temperature measuring probes (8,9) in order to ensure that a temperature difference of 2 degrees is maintained between these points. This is achieved using a resistance heating element (10) acting on the bowl of the expansion valve. The electronic control renders the response of the valve linear. The re-evaporator serves as the refrigerated point, being 18 degrees below the temp. of the surroundings. Pref. the liq. utilised is liq. freon.</p> |
