PURPOSE:To elevate reliability of a titled magnetic head, by embedding electrodes on a substrate in a state that the surface of the electrode part and the surface of the substrate become on the same level, and forming a sensitive part of a magneto-resistance effect element (MR element) on these electrodes. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 13 is constituted so that the surface of a substrate 11 and the surface of each electrode part 13 become on the same surface, and there is no step difference. After the electrode part 13 has been formed in this way, an MR element thin film is formed so as to be superposed on the electrode part 13, and a sensitive part 31 of the MR element is formed by etching. In this way, as for the substrate 11, the surface of the electrode part 13 is on the same plane as the surface of the substrate 11, there is no step difference on the superposed part of the MR element thin film, electrical connection is executed exactly, no disconnection, etc. are generated, and the reliability can be elevated. |
