In order to employ natural birth control it is necessary to determine the fertile and infertile days of the woman. A quick-acting thermometer for the body temperature, a calendar clock and a storage, evaluation and display unit are functionally coupled in the device such that the data which demonstrate ovulation in connection with the change in the body temperature are automatically processed, evaluated in accordance with objective, medically recognised criteria, and displayed. This makes the method more reliable and considerably simpler and more convenient to use.
