A wind-shifting apparatus for an air conditioner has a plurality of pivotably supported wind-shifting plates 1A, 1B disposed in front of a main body of the air conditioner for changing a direction and blow angle of wind emitted from the air conditioner main body, the apparatus including a drive source 6 coupled to a movable plate 4 so that rotary motion of the motor is converted into pivoting motion of the plate 4 about a support 10. An arm 3 connected to the plate 1A has a shaft 17 inserted into a selected one of the holes 7 in the plate 4 to vary the range of movement of the wind-shifting plates corresponding to the pivoting of the plate 4.
