PURPOSE:To prevent the mixing of ink colors by providing a means which prevents the communication among nozzles at the time of capping. CONSTITUTION:An elastic seal 13 has two ring parts 13A which are extended in the circumferential direction of a piston 12 and four connecting part 13B which connect the ring parts 13A in the axial direction of the piston, on a thin seal. When it is inserted into an outer wall 15, four independent spaces are formed. When a piston 12 is lowered, a gap 16 is expanded, a check valve 8 is closed so as to reduce the pressure, and the inks having different colors flow in connecting tubes 3A and 3B. Before the gap 16 is filled up with the ink, the piston 12 is returned and the ink sucking port 17 is blocked. Then the connecting tubes 3A and 3B are separated and tightly closed under the pressure reduced state. In this constitution, the mixing of the ink colors does not occur at the time of capping. The sucked ink in the pump is discharged through a discharging port 7. |
