PURPOSE:To prevent abrasion of a denitration catalyst and to obtain a high denitration rate, by using a denitration catalyst for removing nitrogen oxides contained in the waste gas of a coal burning boiler and drying it obtained by adding vanadate to titanium oxide contg. tungsten oxide. CONSTITUTION:Titanium oxide contg. tungsten oxide is dried and heat treated at 600-800 deg.C, and vanadate is added to this product. It is dried and filled into a denitrator, and heat treated by feeding a waste gas from a coal burning gas. Then, ammonia is added to the waste gas and introduced to the denitrator and brought into contact with the catalyst. This reduces the nitrogen oxides into nitrogen and water, does not cause oxidation of gaseous sulfurous acid by oxygen as side reaction, and prevents its abrasion caused by dust because it has high hardness.
|
