USE:It is used as a synthetic intermediate of 1-beta-D-arabinofuranosyl-(E)-5-(2-halogenovinyl)urasil which has antiviral activity. PREPARATION:The reaction of a compound of formula II (R<1>'-R<3>' are protecting group; X is halogen) with an acrylic alkyl ester is conducted in the presence of a tertiary organic amine and Pd catalyst in a polar solvent to give a compound of formula III (R<4>' is alkyl) and, when necessary, the product is hydrolyzed to give the compound of the formulaI(R<4> is H).</p> |
