Perfluorosuccinyl fluoride is produced by coupling accompanied by dehalogenation of a difluorohaloacetyl fluoride having the formula XCF2COF wherein X represents I, Br or Cl by reacting with a trapping agent of a halogen at a temperature ranging from 100 DEG to 500 DEG C.
