PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a superconducting device when superconducting coils and permanent switches connected in parallel respectively are to be accommodated respectively in a helium tank to constitute the superconducting device of a cryostat for superconducting magnetic levitated train, etc., by a method wherein protecting resistors to be connected in parallel with the superconducting coils are arranged also as to come in contact with helium. CONSTITUTION:The superconducting coils 1a, 1b connected in series are accommodated in the helium tank 5 accomodated in a vacuum vessel 6, the permanent switches 2a, 2b connected in series the same are connected in parallel therewith, and the middle points thereof are connected with a middle lead 8. Power leads 3c connecting the parallel circuits thereof are led out outside of the vessel 6 to be connected to a power source 9, and moreover the protecting resistors 4a, 4b connected in parallel with the coils 1a, 1b are connected to the power source 9, while at this time, the resistors are provided as follows. Namely, the protecting resistors 4a, 4b thereof to be provided usually outside of the vessel 6 are accommodated in the helium tank 5 without positioning outside of the vessel 6. The resistors 4a, 4b are exposed to helium by this way, and invading heat capacity from the normal temperature part is reduced. |
