PURPOSE:To always hold automatic speed change control in high efficiency at reception of a constant speed running signal showing a state of automatic constant speed running, by spreading an operational range in which a lock-up mechanism is operated. CONSTITUTION:At normal running operation of shift change and lock-up on-off, loaded running speed of a vehicle is input to an automatic speed change control circuit 1 by a throttle sensor 2 and car speed sensor 3, if a constant speed running signal from an automatic constant speed running device 5 is received in accordance with a speed change pattern and lock-up pattern selected by a mode selector switch 4, a minimum torque and best fuel consumption pattern, corresponding to an economic running mode where a lock-up range is spread, of the speed change and lock-up patterns provided in the automatic speed change control circuit 1, is selected. |
