The tool has two mutually spaced jaws (10, 11) which are interconnected for movement relative to one another and each of which is intended to embrace a selected one of the two tubular members (14, 15). One jaw (11), is provided with a movable clamp (23), at the end of each leg of the jaw, connected to a hand-grip (18), which serves as a lever, by means of a link (21).
