<p>The improvement comprises a cutting organ for cutting the weft thread to correct lengths, joined to the rotary thread guide. The cutting organ is fixed to the thread guide in the zone of the weft thread extending from the thread guide to the knitted fabric. The thread guide pref. consist of scissor pincers. Before being presented to these thread guides the weft threads are directed by separate thread carriers which are mounted in a common movable organ resembling a revolving head. The weft threads are thus presented as desired in a known order and the changing of the weft thread is carried out without the threads becoming entangled.</p> |
