<p>The device is particularly suitable for the spreading of fertiliser, seeds or similar material, in a controlled manner, with even dispersion over a large area when fitted to the rear of a suitable vehicle. The device controls the dosing mechanism so that the material can be spread over coinciding areas to the left and right of the device. The dosing mechanism permits hydraulic or pneumatic setting of the spreading direction or the amount of material being applied per unit area. Beneath an inverted frusto-conical hopper, a gearbox provides the driving device for a pair of spreading discs disposed with their circumference adjacent to each other and of about 35 cm diameter. Two outlets in the bottom of the hopper, feed material on to the spreading discs at a rate controlled by the coincidence of apertures in pairs of dosing discs.</p> |
