PURPOSE:To improve stability in the turning drive of a vehicle by providing a control plate having upper and lower communicated oil grooves and rotating by following after the relative rotation of the cylinder and the piston in facing with the communicating hole of a piston valve, in the hydraulic buffer for use in a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:When a relative rotation is generated between a cylinder 1 and a piston rod 3 by steering, the control plate 14 rotates with respect to a piston valve 4 together with a control rod 11 to throttle the opening area of the communicating hole 5 of the piston valve 4. Accordingly, the flow resistance of an working oil between oil chambers (a) and (b), that is, the damping force, is increased, and the damping force of the buffer at the outer side of the radial direction upon steering, thus turning is increased, and hence rolling of chassis due to centrifugal force can be prevented. In this manner, stable turning drive of the vehicle can be performed. |
