PURPOSE:To offer a developing device which can be made small-sized and light- weight and supplies and applies a toner stably and uniformly and obtains images superior in vividness and gradient without ''background fog'' and ''variance'', by providing through holes, through which the toner can pass, on a developing roller and providing a toner supply means in the developing roller. CONSTITUTION:A hair brush 9 is flocked on the outside circumference of a hopper 7, and a similar hair brush is flocked on the outside circumference of a developing roller 8 also. A toner can pass between the hollow part of the developing roller 8 and the outside circumferential part by many through holes 11. The hair brush flocked on the developing roller prevents the toner supplied from the hopper from dropping through the porous part of the developing roller and being accumulated in the lower part of a developing equipment. An approximately constant quantity of the toner is supplied from the hopper 7 into the developing roller 8 by a toner supply means consisting of the hopper 7, a hopper entrance/exit 13, etc. |
