PURPOSE:To improve vibration resistance, ridigity, maneuverability and durability, by a method wherein, in elastic shaft couplings, which are provided with a stopper and are attached to two shafts so that they engage each other resulting from the given deformation or more of an elastic coupling body, a vibration absorbing body is mounted to the engaging surface of the stopper. CONSTITUTION:One end of a first shaft 28 is loosely inserted into one end of a second shaft 29, and a stopper 30 consists of engaging surfaces 30a and 30b of the two shafts 28 and 29. A cylindrical vibration-absorbing body 31, such as nylon, is mounted to the engaging surface 30a of the stopper 30 so that it vertically slides with the engaging surface 30b of the shaft 29 and a gap delta is provided in a lateral direction. A cylindrical collar 32 is located to the outer periphery of the second shaft 29, and an elastic coupling body 33 is inserted between the collar and the first shaft 28. This constitution increases the spinning force of the shafts 28 and 29, and if a relative displacement is brought to delta, the engaging surfaces 30a and 30b engage each other through the medium of the vibration-absorbing body 31 to transfer the spinning force of the two shafts 28 and 29. This permits the improvement of vibration resistance, rigidity, maneuverability and durability. |
