PURPOSE:To decrease the number of man-hours of junction and to improve the working efficiency, by forming a front core with a unified material. CONSTITUTION:A front core 1 contains on its rear surface a gap groove 2 forming a magnetic gap and a separating groove 3 which cuts magnetically the tape running surface in thewidth direction of the tape. A nonmagnetic material 4 like glass, etc. is filled into the groove 2. A rear core 5 contains both side walls 6, an intervension part 7 which connects the walls 6 to each other, and a magnetic core 8 which extends to the front side from the center of the part 7. A coil 9 is put into the core 8. The core 1 is joined to the core 5 at the rear surface side of the core 1. Thus a unified magnetic circuit is obtained. Then the front surface of the core 1 is polished to expose the grooves 2 and 3. Thus the tape running surface is formed. |
