<p>NEW MATERIAL:A peptide or peptide joined to radioactive iodine expressed by the formula (R is H-Tyr or H-Tyr-Pro-Arg) or a salt thereof. USE:A labeling reagent for measuring the human parathyroid hormone (h-PTH) capable of labeling by the radioactive labeling substance well and scarcely adsorbable in an immunological reaction tube. PROCESS:The respective amino acids or lower peptides are condensed with the amino acid sequence expressed by the formula to constitute the backbone, and the protecting groups of the functional groups in the side chains are eliminated in the final stage of the condensing reaction to give the peptide of the formula. Carbodiimide, azide, active ester and anhydride methods are cited as the condensing method, but a method of causing no or minimizing racemization is used in the respective stages of the condensation. The amino acid sequence may be synthesized from any sequence, but the synthesis from the C terminals is advantageous.</p> |
