Conventionally these inocula comprise cultures of selected micro-organisms placed in a latent state by dehydration, enzymes capable of producing lysis of long chain organic materials, essentially lipase, amylase, protease and cellulase, and excipient filler. The process according to the invention comprises dehydrating the cultures by the addition of a sufficient quantity of a hydrophilic molecular sieve, typically of 4 to 8 times the weight of the cultures in aqueous medium, adding the enzymes and then a powder of non-ionic dispersant such as a condensate of stearyl alcohol with an ethylene polyoxide with approximately 50 groups. Preferably the cultures are obtained by seeding a substrate with a specific strain and incubating, mixing the various cultures immediately before the time of dehydration.
|
